About The Position

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Applicants will be considered for shifts and hours posted. Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

A minimum of 1-year related maintenance experience and/or technical certifications.
Working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools.
Must not have a Written Warning within the last 6 months of the bid date.
Cannot have over 6 points to be considered for this position.
Must stay below 10 points to maintain this role if hired into a maintenance position.
Internal candidates will be considered first.
This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

Responsibilities

Keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production.
Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery.
Learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out daily documentation.
Read and write as required.
Use math for machinery and fluid capacity computations.
Lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis.
Work on your feet for 12 hours.
Complete all required training for the job.
Communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding the status of equipment repairs.
