About The Position

This role involves evaluating the quality of products, reporting deficiencies, and maintaining line speed. The position requires a motivated individual eager to learn and adapt to a frequently changing environment. Responsibilities include performing rework, informing supervisors of any issues, and making product pathology and food safety dispositions. The role also includes conducting workflow for the New Poultry Inspection System (NPIS) Evisceration operation and adhering to Tyson's safety culture. The job requires the use of hands, arms, and legs to monitor the production process, ensure proper operation, and perform line duties. The work environment includes wet floors, cold temperatures, and sometimes cramped quarters. Sanitizing agents will be utilized, and there is exposure to moving objects, electrical, and mechanical hazards. Basic reading and general safety knowledge are necessary.

Requirements

  • Ability to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture.
  • Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
  • Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times are not eligible for rehire.
  • Basic reading and general safety knowledge.
  • Must communicate well with others and supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the quality of the product being produced.
  • Report deficiencies to Lead or Supervisor for appropriate action.
  • Keep up with line speed to act quickly.
  • Perform rework as needed.
  • Inform Lead or Supervisor of any mechanical breakdowns or production problems.
  • Make product pathology dispositions and prioritize food safety dispositions.
  • Conduct workflow for the New Poultry Inspection System (NPIS) Evisceration operation.
  • Adhere to Tyson's safety culture.
  • Monitor production process for proper operation, produce quality and quantity, and perform line duties as required.
  • Utilize sanitizing agents in water, hand wash stations, and footwear cover sanitizing baths.
