About The Position

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a Year-Round Intern for Corporate Actions. This internship is a 12-month opportunity running from January through December, open to undergraduate and graduate students actively enrolled at a college or university. Interns will work up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer, with a 1,000-hour cap. The role is based in a hybrid work environment, and overtime is not permitted. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Interns are eligible only for paid sick leave accrued based on hours worked; no other benefits apply.

Requirements

Rising senior or second-year graduate student, graduating December 2027 or May/August 2028.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
An interest in the financial markets.

Nice To Haves

Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Communications, or other related field of study.

Responsibilities

Support department efforts to prepare for the transition from the current clearing system (ENCORE) to the future system (Ovation) and Day 2 project initiatives.
Create job aids and procedures.
Develop training materials.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Contribute to strengthening the control environment by assisting in the preparation of audit evidence.
Execute controls related to basic processing.
Assist with management self-testing.
Contribute to the review of departmental controls and testing procedures.
Support department production operations, learning to support exchange option listings, trade processing, corporate action research and corporate action processing.
Gain exposure to process improvement activities and industry initiatives.
