About The Position

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking year-round interns for its Agile Management Solutions team. This internship program is designed to equip students with real-world skills for a career in financial services, focusing on meaningful projects that address business challenges. The program runs for 12 months from January through December and is open to actively enrolled undergraduate and graduate students. Interns work up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer, with a 1,000-hour cap. The role operates in a hybrid work environment, and overtime is not permitted. The Agile Management Solutions team administers and governs OCC's Jira, Confluence, Slack, SpiraTest, and Intralinks platforms, supporting Agile-scrum delivery across IT. This role will teach transferable skills in querying and reporting on operational data, configuring workflow automation, and structuring information for enterprise system integrations, which are core competencies for Business Analysts and Atlassian administrators.

Requirements

• Rising senior or second-year graduate student, graduating December 2027 or May/August 2028.
• Any STEM degree.
• Comfort with spreadsheets and basic data analysis.
• Curiosity about how enterprise IT systems work.
• Some exposure to query logic or scripting (SQL, JQL, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and a documentation mindset.
• Comfort presenting findings to a technical audience.
• Genuine interest in IT business analysis or operations as a career path.
• Curiosity, calm under pressure, and strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Scripting or coding projects are preferred but not required.
• No prior Atlassian or ServiceNow experience required, as the program is designed to build this expertise from zero.

Responsibilities

• Work on two projects: Jira Automation Rule Inventory/Cleanup + Ticket Volume Baseline, which teaches process automation logic, data analysis, reporting fundamentals, and change management discipline.
• Work on the ServiceNow/Confluence Integration Discovery project, which teaches information governance, content classification, and how integration programs are scoped.
• Contribute to meaningful projects, applying skills and knowledge to real challenges facing the business.
• Own deliverable walkthroughs at sprint review.
