About The Position

At Local Crafts, we're the creative force behind some of the most beloved names in crafting — Connecting Threads, Superior Threads, Knit Picks, Crochet.com, Jimmy Beans Wool and Berroco. From our own workshops to trusted partners around the globe, we design and curate products makers reach for every day: the fabrics, threads, yarns, and tools that turn ideas into finished pieces. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Yarn Dyer to join our Manufacturing/Dye Kitchen team. In this hands-on production role, you'll follow established processes to help create consistent, high-quality yarn while keeping production moving at a steady pace. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing things right, and works well in a structured production environment.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and repeat processes consistently
• Strong attention to quality and detail
• Ability to maintain production expectations while working at a steady pace
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfort working in a hands-on manufacturing and production environment
• Flexibility to work Saturdays when needed
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time

Responsibilities

• Follow established dye kitchen and yarn production processes and procedures
• Complete dyeing and production tasks accurately, consistently, and at the expected pace
• Monitor work for quality and consistency throughout the production process
• Follow safety, quality, and operational guidelines
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for production
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily production needs
• Support Saturday production as needed
