About The Position
Riverhead Building Supply is hiring a Yardman to make local deliveries and assist with yard and inventory operations. The role involves operating box trucks to deliver millwork, cabinetry, and other building materials to customers. It does not require over-the-road travel, and the local fleet allows employees to return home for dinner. The position requires heavy lifting and forklift operation. Applicants must be able to operate a box truck; a CDL-B and an ELDT driver training certificate are specified in the qualifications, with the certificate required if the license was obtained after February 7, 2022. The expected salary for Rhode Island transparency purposes is $26.00; this is not total compensation. Total compensation includes overtime, funded benefits, retirement contributions, and more. Compensation depends on experience and other factors permitted by law. Riverhead Building Supply employs more than 800 people across Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
Requirements
- Ability to operate a box truck.
- CDL-B.
- ELDT Driver Training certificate if the license was obtained after February 7, 2022.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Forklift operation is required.
Responsibilities
