About The Position

As a Yardi ERP Application Specialist, your primary responsibility is to effectively support the company’s Yardi software systems. This involves ensuring seamless operations, troubleshooting issues, providing user support, and optimizing the Yardi platform to meet business needs. This role acts as the primary functional and technical steward for the Yardi ERP platform, ensuring stability, data integrity, system integrations, and alignment with finance and operational processes across the organization. With your critical thinking, professionalism, strong interpersonal, and exceptional organizational skills, you'll play a pivotal role in our success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting Yardi ERP in a production environment, preferably in real estate, construction, or property management.
  • Previous experience in a support role, preferably within a real estate or property management company.
  • Proficiency in Yardi systems and related modules.
  • Solid understanding of database management and SQL used for analysis, reconciliation, and validation (not development).
  • Solid understanding of database management and SQL for querying and reporting.
  • Familiarity with system integration concepts and practices.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with users and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Yardi Certified Professional (YCP) or other relevant Yardi certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with other real estate management software tools or systems.
  • Experience in data migration, system integrations, or cloud-based Yardi platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for end users experiencing issues with Yardi platforms (e.g., Yardi Voyager, Yardi RentCafé, Yardi PayScan, Yardi Procure to Pay, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve Yardi-related technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify, resolve, and escalate technical challenges when necessary.
  • Serve as Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for Yardi-related issues.
  • Partner with Service Desk for intake and escalation.
  • Liaise directly with Yardi support and external consultants for complex issues.
  • Perform regular updates and patches to Yardi systems to ensure software is up-to-date and compliant with company standards.
  • Assist in the configuration of Yardi software features based on business requirements.
  • Maintain user permissions and roles within the system, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff on how to effectively use Yardi systems.
  • Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and knowledge base articles for ongoing user support.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees seeking assistance with Yardi-related questions or issues.
  • Support preparing ad-hoc reports and assist with data analysis from Yardi systems to support business decisions.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency within Yardi platforms by conducting regular audits.
  • Assist in integrating Yardi with other systems or software for streamlined operations.
  • Assist with the rollout of new Yardi modules or updates, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Work closely with project teams to implement new processes or integrations related to Yardi.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and consultants as needed to enhance the functionality of the Yardi platform.
  • Participate in ERP transition initiatives involving parallel systems.
  • Support UAT, regression testing, and release validation.
  • Document configuration, integrations, and process changes.
  • Identify areas of improvement within the Yardi systems and suggest process optimizations.
  • Monitor system performance and work with IT and vendors to enhance overall system efficiency.
  • Act as the functional and technical owner of the Yardi ERP platform.
  • Enforce system standards, configuration consistency, and change management practices.
  • Participate in ERP roadmap planning, upgrades, and module expansion.
  • Support audit, compliance, and financial controls related to Yardi data.
  • Understanding of financial processes (GL, AP, AR, job cost, budgeting).
  • Experience supporting ERP systems used by Finance and Accounting teams.
