About The Position
EMR is seeking a motivated, dependable Yard Worker to help maintain a safe, clean, and organized yard. The role includes general housekeeping, preparing work areas, assisting with equipment maintenance, and cleaning barges and equipment. The position requires outdoor work in varying weather conditions and physical activity, including lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfort using basic hand tools, brooms, shovels, and other equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous forklift experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Assist with general yard housekeeping.
- Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris and hazards.
- Assist with equipment maintenance.
- Clean barges and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
