Perform work outdoors in the yard; draining fluids and removing parts from vehicles in preparation for setting the vehicles in the yard. The primary job function is to keep the customer's yard and facility clean. This role involves removing all fluids, lubricants, and components (e.g., converters) from vehicles safely and efficiently to prepare them for yard placement. The work primarily involves dismantling salvage cars, including parts like quarter panels, doors, lids, hoods, axles, and suspension pieces. Responsibilities also include setting vehicles in the yard as assigned, accurately recording vehicle information, and potentially operating a forklift or loader to move vehicles. Additional tasks include cleaning debris from vehicles before processing, removing batteries for testing and resale, staging vehicles with a Loader Operator, placing debris in removed vehicles, and dismantling tires. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to EPA and OSHA regulations, wearing required PPE, and complying with company policies are essential. The role also involves supporting continuous improvement of the quality system and assuming other assigned duties.
