About The Position

The Yard Utility Operator will provide general assistance in the production area while prioritizing safety. The role involves operating various equipment to move salvaged vehicles, assisting with vehicle setup, maintaining facility cleanliness, processing valuable metals, packaging batteries, removing Freon from refrigeration units, operating forklifts and small equipment, and responding to customer requests.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with forklift and small equipment operation
- Previous heavy equipment operating experience
- General maintenance understanding
- Understanding of mechanical equipment
- Automotive Parts experience
- Basic computer skills

Responsibilities
- Provide general assistance in the production area.
- Maintain safety of self and others.
- Use numerous types of equipment to move salvaged vehicles throughout the yard.
- Help set vehicles.
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility through sweeping designated areas.
- Empty and sort core bins.
- Process aluminum, copper, brass, and other precious metals.
- Package and weigh core batteries.
- Remove Freon from scrap refrigeration units.
- Operate a forklift and small equipment.
- Respond to various types of customer requests.
