DoD SkillBridge: Yard Technician
About The Position
REIC Rentals is hiring a Yard Technician. This role is ideal for individuals with military experience who are adept at problem-solving, leading teams, and maintaining critical equipment. Through the DoD SkillBridge program, interns will gain hands-on experience with industry-leading equipment and work alongside experienced professionals in a company that prioritizes safety, teamwork, integrity, and service. Requirements
- Active-duty U.S. Military Members who qualify for the DoD SkillBridge Program.
- A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass forklift, AWP, and propane training tests.
- A strong focus on safety.
- Ability to take instruction and understand goals and processes.
- Ability to work fluctuating schedules, including some Saturdays.
- Ability to complete other duties as assigned.
- Ability to comprehend job-related duties in both verbal and written formats.
- Comfortable working with limited supervision at times.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift.

- Experience with working outside in all weather conditions.
- Experience working around heavy equipment.
- Experience talking with customers.
- Experience loading and washing equipment.
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
Responsibilities
- Meticulously washing and detailing rental equipment before delivery.
- Inspecting small equipment for quality.
- Managing the hookup and receiving of trailers or smaller rented items.
- Enhancing the overall visual appeal of the yard.
- Prepping the yard for opening and closing of business.
- Loading and unloading equipment and communicating rental details with the Rental Coordinator.
- Washing and making any necessary repairs to returned equipment to ensure it is rent-ready.
- Assisting with the appearance, organization, and arrangement of equipment in the yard.
