Night Shift Yard Switcher/Forklift Operator $20/hour
About The Position
American Lumper Services is a growing warehouse management company that is looking for a flexible qualified sit-down forklift/ yard switcher in the San Antonio area. Forklift and switcher experience is required. The role involves assisting in unloading and loading trucks while operating equipment, spotting/dropping trailers as directed by Receiving, Shipping, & Transportation personnel, and staging pallets for loading on the proper dock locations. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and yard, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have forklift experience
- Must have switcher experience
- Must undergo a background check
- Must possess basic reading and math skills
- Must have an eye for detail
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl
- Must perform other duties as assigned
- Must have reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Assist in unloading trucks while operating equipment.
- Assist in loading trucks while operating equipment.
- Spots/drops the trailers as directed by Receiving, Shipping, & transportation personnel.
- Stage pallets for loading on the proper dock locations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and yard.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
