Yard Spotter
About The Position
Under close supervision, the Yard Spotter positions truck tractors and trailers to support safe and efficient operations, moving equipment to and from loading docks, maintenance bays, and other designated areas. The role includes full-time attendance and may involve outdoor work in the elements, multiple shifts including nights or weekends, and overtime. The position is based in Jersey City, New Jersey. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Expected starting pay is $23.10–$28.85 per hour. Starting pay may vary based on skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications. The position may also be eligible for annual bonuses and incentives based on profitability or volumes, subject to applicable company plans. It is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or up to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work outdoors in the elements or across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends, if needed.
- Ability to fulfill physical requirements including lifting more than 50 pounds, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to wear appropriate work attire, including protective gear/PPE.

Responsibilities
- Move and position equipment on company facilities according to operations and maintenance needs.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Observe all company safety requirements.
- Perform daily yard checks, including inventory and counts.
- Inspect truck equipment and gear for safe operation and compliance with company regulations and procedures.
