About The Position
Spartan Logistics is hiring a full-time, on-site Yard Spotter in Lima, Ohio. The role is responsible for safely moving trailers within the warehouse yard to support efficient, timely operations and maintain an organized yard. The schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Pay starts at $28.00 per hour, with a $0.50 shift differential.
Requirements
- Seven months to one year of driving experience is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge to identify basic trailer issues.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally stand, walk, bend, climb, squat, or reach.

Responsibilities
- Transport trailers in and out of dock doors and designated yard positions.
- Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure trailer safety and compliance.
- Monitor the number, condition, and location of empty and loaded trailers in the yard.
- Move trailers as directed by a supervisor.
- Attend safety meetings and comply with safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
