Yard Spotter - 2AM - 2PM 4 day shift

About The Position

The Yard Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles, spotting trailers in the yard, unloading trailers, and performing yard checks. The work is primarily outdoors and involves exposure to the elements. The associate may also be responsible for running deliveries. The schedule is 2:00 AM to 2:00 PM on a four-day schedule. The role requires operating tractor-trailers, straight trucks, and yard trucks safely and efficiently, maintaining safe work practices, and protecting confidential company information. Other duties and special projects may be assigned. The position involves frequent lifting, carrying, or moving of up to 75 pounds; frequent sitting, standing, walking, and climbing; and exposure to cooler and freezer temperatures, varying warehouse temperatures, outdoor weather, and typically low-to-moderate noise levels. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of driving experience.
Class A Certified Driver’s License (CDL); must have a valid CDL and a good driving record.
Ability to work independently as a highly motivated self-starter.
Detail-oriented, adaptable to changing conditions, and able to listen to and follow directions and established procedures.
Good attendance and tardiness record.
Ability to communicate in English, both written and orally.
Ability to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions.
Ability to carry, lift, and/or move up to 75 pounds frequently.
Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, and climb.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and/or straight truck.
Safely and efficiently operate a yard truck.
Spot trailers in the yard, unload trailers, and perform yard checks.
Run deliveries as needed.
Maintain safe work practices.
Maintain safeguards for confidential company information.
Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
