Yard Spotter
About The Position
Primary Transportation Services is adding a Yard Spotter to support a dedicated customer account in Sheboygan, WI. You will stay local and work a consistent first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, starting at 6:00 AM. This role involves moving trailers between yard and warehouse locations, operating various tractor-trailer combinations within the yard, and performing safety inspections. You will also be responsible for communicating clearly with the team and adhering to all federal, state, and DOT safety and compliance requirements. The position requires working outdoors with exposure to seasonal weather.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet DOT medical requirements
- Available to work overtime and weekends
- Capable of standing, walking, and repeatedly climbing into and out of a yard spotter and road tractor
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, and push/pull up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities
- Move trailers between yard and warehouse locations, safely and accurately
- Operate various tractor-trailer combinations within the yard
- Perform safety inspections of the yard horse and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Communicate clearly with the team
- Follow all federal, state, and DOT safety and compliance requirements
- Work outdoors with exposure to seasonal weather
