Yard Spotter
About The Position
Under close supervision, the Yard Spotter positions truck tractors and trailers to support safe and efficient operations, moving equipment to and from loading docks, maintenance bays, and other designated areas. The role requires full-time attendance and may involve working outdoors in the elements, across multiple shifts—including nights and weekends—and overtime. The position also includes daily yard checks, equipment inspections, and compliance with company safety requirements. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates located more than 50 miles from the job. This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or up to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work outdoors in the elements and across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends, if needed.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including lifting more than 50 pounds, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to wear appropriate work attire, including protective gear/PPE.

Responsibilities
- Move and position equipment on company facilities according to operational and maintenance needs.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Observe all company safety requirements.
- Perform daily yard checks, including inventory and counts.
- Inspect truck equipment and gear for safe operation and compliance with company regulations and procedures.
