About The Position
This position is responsible for operating a shag truck to move semi-trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position could work in any department of the PBX division. It requires using a shag truck to move semi-trailers and backing them into designated loading docks and parking areas. It requires frequent climbing into and out of the shag truck therefore must be able to climb in/out of truck using 3 points of contact several times a day and climb ladders as needed at varying height.
Requirements
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Willing to drive, walk, sit, bend, stoop, twist as needed and repeat all essential functions throughout the shift.
- Willing to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Willing to work/drive in inclement weather; hot, cold, dusty, icy, etc.
- Must be able to perform position tasks.
- Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, and available for overtime.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be able to pass MVR report.
- No DUI or DWIs in the last 12 months.
- Successful candidate will have less than 6 attendance points.
- No disciplines in the last 12 months resulting in suspension.
- Must have completed their 90 day probationary period.

- No CDL is required.
Responsibilities
- Operating a shag truck to move semi-trailers.
- Backing semi-trailers into designated loading docks and parking areas.
- Climbing into and out of the shag truck using 3 points of contact several times a day.
- Climbing ladders as needed at varying heights.
- Maintaining a smooth and accurate flow of trailers to the docks.
- Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Completing paperwork.
- Communicating using a radio with the shipping department.
- Completing all required training for the job.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
- Performing position tasks.
