About The Position

The Yard Parts Puller (described in the posting as a Parts Handler) performs day-to-day activities in the production yard or warehouse in accordance with applicable federal, state/provincial, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The position may be directed by the Production/Yard Leader to ensure parts are handled safely, efficiently, and properly. The role involves retrieving and preparing parts, completing related paperwork and work orders, using tools to remove parts from vehicles, labeling parts for delivery, and communicating with Sales and Dispatch. The employee is expected to maintain a clean work area and a positive, appropriate demeanor. The position does not supervise employees.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have own tools.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; and draw and interpret graphs.
• Ability to communicate basic messages orally, write brief messages, keep simple records, and explain or offer guidance on routine procedures.
• Ability to address routine, repetitive problems by following clear directions and procedures.
• Ability to prioritize assigned and routine tasks and handle them appropriately.
• Ability to perform the stated physical duties, including occasional lifting or moving of up to 75 pounds, and on occasion up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles and wear personal protective equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver around the yard.
