About The Position

Mack Industries is looking for a dependable and safety-focused Yard Operator to support daily operations at our White Lake, Michigan precast concrete plant. This role is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and staging precast products and raw materials throughout the yard and plant. If you’re comfortable operating heavy equipment, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in working safely as part of a team, we’d like to hear from you.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to safely follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous heavy equipment or material-handling experience preferred.
• Experience with forklifts, loaders, cranes, or rigging is a plus.
• Experience in precast concrete, concrete, construction, manufacturing, steel, asphalt, aggregate, or similar industries is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and stage precast concrete products and raw materials.
• Operate large-format forklifts, loaders, overhead bridge cranes, chain hoists, and other material-handling equipment.
• Safely transport materials between production, storage, and shipping areas.
• Assist with loading and unloading customer and supplier trucks.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Clean and maintain equipment and keep the yard organized.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Work with production, yard, and shipping teams to keep materials moving efficiently.
• Maintain dependable attendance and flexibility to support production needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Yard Supervisor.
