About The Position

The Yard Operations Associate is responsible for safely locating, receiving, inspecting, verifying, and documenting assets in a yard environment. The role provides inventory counts and operates various types and sizes of equipment. The employee is expected to demonstrate alignment with the company’s mission and core business values, collaborate with internal and external resources, pursue ongoing self-development, and complete monthly safety training. The position involves outdoor yard work around moving mechanical parts and may include exposure to extreme weather, loud noise, small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment. The employee must wear common protective or safety equipment and may work in cramped spaces or high places. This role requires extended periods on one’s feet and frequent communication, movement, and physical activity.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to use organizational planning, self-management, analytical problem-solving, time management, and multitasking skills effectively.
Strong planning and coordination skills.
Proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems.
Ability to read and understand written information and to listen to and understand spoken information.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Ability to conduct safety assessments before starting a task.
Ability to meet the position’s physical requirements, including standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, crawling, bending, twisting, climbing, and lifting items weighing up to and over 50 pounds.
Ability to work outdoors in conditions that may include inclement weather, loud noise, and exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment.
Ability to wear common protective or safety equipment and work in cramped spaces or high places.
Some overnight travel is required.

Responsibilities

Model, promote, reinforce, and reward consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership tools, models, and processes.
Verify and document all assets arriving at and departing from the yard.
Stage and prepare assets accurately to fulfill incoming requests.
Load and unload assets, inspect them, fuel them, and report their condition in accordance with safety protocols.
Provide timely updates for inventory items leaving or returning to the yard through the Shipping and Receiving function.
Photograph incoming and outgoing assets and upload the pictures according to current processes.
Troubleshoot, communicate, and resolve potential shipping and receiving delays involving assets.
Perform, reconcile, and complete inventory counts of machines and work tools.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Perform other related duties and fulfill responsibilities as required.
