About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a day shift Yard Loader Operator for their Boone Quarry operation in Verona, KY. This is a full-time position with competitive pay starting at $23/hr, with overall compensation determined by experience and skill set. The role requires an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence and the ability to operate a front-end loader to load customer trucks with various materials. Responsibilities include daily equipment inspections, maintenance checks, documentation, and maintaining stockpile organization. The company is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees, established in 1908, and recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.

Requirements

Individual must be dedicated to operating safely at all times
Individual must be willing to perform any task required at quarry
Must be able to identify and alert management to maintenance issues with equipment
Ability to complete pre-operation inspection paperwork
Ability to climb ladders and or stairs repeatedly to access or dismount equipment.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods of time.
Ability to shovel rock, lift buckets, or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Experience operating heavy equipment
Flexibility to work overtime and weekend when necessary
Team player attitude
Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, professional, and thorough customer service.
Commitment to working safely while following all MSHA and company safety policies.
Safely operate a front-end loader to load customer trucks with crushed stone, gravel, sand and any other materials as directed by management.
Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance checks, and reporting and mechanical issues promptly.
Ensure proper documentation of sales tickets, load sheets, or scale tickets based on company processes.
Maintain stockpile organization and ensure materials are clearly marked and accessible.
May be called upon at the discretion of the supervisor in charge to perform any other duties assigned and/or to assist with other areas as necessary.
