About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role operates a yard loader to move and load bulk materials safely and efficiently. It also involves inspecting equipment daily, assisting with railcar and truck loading/unloading, and maintaining a clean work area. Communication with team members and supervisors is key to coordinating material flow.

Requirements

• Skilled in operating heavy equipment in an industrial or outdoor setting
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and hazard recognition
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Comfortable working in physically demanding and fast-paced environments
• Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and operational checks
• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug, and background check
• Must meet company and regulatory safety standards

Responsibilities

• Operate yard loader to move and load bulk materials safely and efficiently
• Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Assist with railcar and truck loading/unloading operations
• Maintain clean and organized work areas to support safe operations
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate material flow
