About The Position

The Yard Laborer position will be responsible for torching larger pieces of metal, moving materials and purchasing scrap from walk-in customers. Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position. Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.

Requirements

• Self-starter that takes initiative along with analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
• Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
• Physical Requirements: Exerting up to one hundred (100) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to fifty (50) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to twenty (20) pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including making general observations of facilities.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
