About The Position
The Yard Driver is responsible for maintaining organization and production in the Pittston terminal yard. This role requires spotting inbound and outbound trailers, organizing and keeping the yard free-flowing, expediting trailers to the shop for associates, and ensuring sufficient equipment is available for trailer shops. The position also involves good communication with other associates and providing excellent customer service to Prime drivers and shop associates. Additional work-related tasks may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Must have good communication with other associates
- Strong organizational, computer, and customer service skills required
- Multitasking and a flexible schedule required
- Valid CDL with clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry preferred
- One to three years related experience and/or training preferred
Responsibilities
