About The Position

The Yard Driver is responsible for maintaining organization and production in the Pittston terminal yard. This position requires the ability to get in and out of trailers and hook/disconnect trailers multiple times per day. Candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 100lbs and push and pull 50lbs. Steel toed footwear, and safety glasses are required in the shop. Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc. The working environment is both indoor and outdoor with exposure to varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED is required
• Strong organizational, computer, and customer service skills required
• Multitasking and a flexible schedule required
• Must have valid CDL with clean driving record

Nice To Haves

• One to three years related experience and/or training preferred
• Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Spotting inbound and outbound trailers
• Organize and keep yard free flowing and organized
• Expedite trailers to shop for shop associates
• Ensure sufficient equipment is available for trailer shops
• Must have good communication with other associates
• Provide excellent customer service to Prime driver and shop associates
• Additional work-related tasks as needed
