About The Position

The Yard Jockey is responsible for pulling and dropping trailers in the yard and to the dock for loading and inspection. This role also involves inspecting yard trailers, ensuring trailers have fuel and are clean before loading, and maintaining the storage lot. The position requires working in extreme weather conditions and being available to work weekends or when needed, with minimal supervision. The Yard Jockey will also perform other duties as assigned by the lead or supervisor.

Requirements

• Truck driving, pulling, loading, and unloading trailers
• Basic math and reading skills
• Pallet jack operator
• Must have valid driver's license
• Use required PPE and follow all safety guidelines of the company
• Stand duration of shift – all scheduled hours
• Use of both hands and able to grasp
• Good eye sight (with or without corrective lens)
• Able to reach and bend forward
• Able to perform task that requires repetitive motion

• Some physical strength is needed
