Yard Jockey - CDL A - Enfield, CT
About The Position
The Yard Jockey is responsible for loading straps, racks, and shippers onto trucks during the loading process. This role involves assisting with pallet building and unloading trucks to maintain organization of pallets and shells. The Yard Jockey ensures that hand trucks and tow motors are charged and placed in their respective locations for drivers, and that all DSD routes have a fully charged mule on the trailer before leaving the dock. Additionally, the Yard Jockey maintains the general cleanliness of the warehouse and yard, and assists with product replenishment within the warehouse. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to drive manual and automatic transmissions.
- CDL Class A license required.
- Must be able to work any shift, weekends, Holidays and OT.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- 0 to 1 plus years of specific driving experience.
- Class A CDL Permit to Class A CDL license.
- Must be able to lift products from 25 pounds to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 170 pounds.
