This role involves jockeying trailers under the direction of a supervisor or foreman, preparing for the day by completing vehicle condition reports and organizing the work area. The primary responsibilities include moving trailers between the lot and dock doors, working with the foreman and supervisor to manage raw material loads, and installing/removing trailer stands. Additionally, the position requires reviewing bills of lading for product loading, completing final certification for outbound loads, handling out-of-stock items with the foreman, wrapping partial pallets, processing paperwork in the National Inventory System (NIS) or handing it to a supervisor, and staging or loading pallets into trucks. The role also includes cleaning up by completing partial pallets, putting away mixed pallets, and maintaining housekeeping standards in the work area.
