About The Position

High Concrete Group manufactures pre-cast concrete structures such as parking garages and other large concrete buildings. We are looking for a Yard Jockey CDL A to join their team on the 2nd Shift. This role is responsible for operating a jockey truck and other CDL equipment to move flatbed trailers in and out of our manufacturing environment and around the yard. The position ensures the smooth and safe flow of products from production areas to storage areas and onto road trailers for shipment to job sites. It also involves assisting the yard crew with loading and rigging pieces. The role requires frequent entry and exit from the truck cab throughout the shift, with approximately 50% of the time spent in the truck and 50% on ground crew responsibilities.

Requirements

  • CDL A valid driver's license required - Must be Manual Transmission.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Ability to work outside year round.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of experience in the pre-cast/pre-stressed concrete industry preferred.
  • Three years experience operating yard tractor and flatbed.
  • Certified equipment operator a plus; travel lift and/or tow motor.

Responsibilities

  • Chain/strap down concrete panels onto trailers.
  • Operate Jockey truck or other CDL equipment to move trailers or parts around our yard/manufacturing environment.
  • Get in and out of the cab several times a shift to perform job duties.
  • Load and unload production pieces on various types of trailers.
  • Stock product pieces in the yard correctly and verify blocking and padding for product delivery.
  • Perform pre and post-operation inspection of necessary equipment.
  • Perform ongoing minor PM work on the truck.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
