About The Position

Famous Supply is seeking a 3rd Shift Yard Jockey/Backup Driver with a CDL A license. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for making deliveries from Famous Distribution Centers to Famous Branches. Your daily route will be uploaded to a company-provided smartphone with turn-by-turn navigation. You will operate lift trucks, hand trucks, and other equipment for loading and unloading trucks, and assist in the warehouse when needed. This position involves handling large products such as water heaters, furnaces, and showers.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A License
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Verifiable Class A driving experience
• Understanding of DOT rules and regulations

Responsibilities

• Yard Jockey, while being a backup driver when needed
• Help load truck
• Use Smartphone to navigate to stops on-time
• “Drop-and-hook” full-trailer for empty trailer or unload skids at branch facility
• Provide backup support for customer deliveries
• Unload materials for customer
• Verify delivery for accuracy
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service
• Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
