Requirements

  • Must have a Class A License or a current Class A permit
  • Ability to lift and carry 65 lbs.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Solid mechanical skills
  • Computer knowledge is essential
  • Ability to work well with people
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Multi-tasked Individual
  • Ability to work independently
  • Class A Driver’s License Permit is Required

Responsibilities

  • Safely load trucks and hostler trailers.
  • Learn complex systems and concepts.
  • Work around cleaning chemicals.
  • Frequently check and refuel refer units in a timely manner throughout the shift.
  • Uphold highest quality, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Perform any duties necessary to support the team.
  • Maintain documentation associated with operations.
  • Communicate clearly with incoming drivers from our outside suppliers.
  • Uphold quality, safety, and cleanliness standards within designated areas.
  • Maintain the yard goat during day-to-day functions.
  • Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Set-up oncoming shift for successful run.
  • Complete hourly trailer checks for fuel, refer faults, ensure refrigerators are running and rear doors are closed when in use.
  • Obtain information necessary to perform duties at pre-shift tailgate meetings and by meeting with off-going Line Technician.
  • Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the yard area in a sanitary manner.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.
  • Perform coverage in this position as needed.
