About The Position

The Yard Hustler is responsible for using an industrial tractor to move trailer as instructed within the facility. Will follow instructions and pre-established procedures to perform daily job tasks. Requirements

  • Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License
  • Must have a safe driving record
  • Must have be able to use forklift
  • Mus be able to work various shifts
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow orders
  • Will be responsible for other duties when yard hustler operations are not needed
  • Must have experience with motor lift operations and truck driving skills
  • Safely operate assigned vehicle
  • Assist with moving equipment in or out of the docks and staging areas as needed.
  • Work closely with the Freight and Tank schedulers to carry out daily shipping plans and / or preloads.
  • Work closely with warehouse personnel to move and stage DSD equipment when needed.
  • Assist with delivering or picking up equipment off premises when needed.

Responsibilities

  • May drive forklift as needed
  • Wash Tanks
  • Takes piles and/or boxes to designated areas to be weighted
  • Is responsible for safety of others
  • Other duties assigned by upper management
  • Assist with moving equipment in or out of the docks and staging areas as needed.
  • Work closely with the Freight and Tank schedulers to carry out daily shipping plans and / or preloads.
  • Work closely with warehouse personnel to move and stage DSD equipment when needed.
  • Assist with delivering or picking up equipment off premises when needed.
  • Maintain cleaning records on equipment.
  • Communicate driver reported equipment issues with supervisor, “On Duty Mechanic”, or maintenance crew for repair arrangements and Red Tags.
  • Obtain IVES certification for offloading assistance when necessary.
  • Maintain constant communications with office and warehouse personnel.
  • Advise security personnel of any problems or issues with traffic violations on the premises if noticed.
  • Maintain and record incoming or outgoing trailers for accurate equipment record keeping.
  • Wash and stage tankers when needed.
  • Maintain and stock wash station items.
  • Driver as needed for freight, tank, or DSD emergency deliveries.
  • Other duties as assigned by upper management.
  • During Crush, employee will help in other departments when needed.
  • Monday startup list: equipment walks through, startup and trouble shoot as needed.
  • Friday or Holiday shutdown list: equipment walk through and power shut down.
