About The Position

Poly-America, L.P. is currently seeking a Yard Hopper to join our Shipping/Receiving department. Poly-America produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags, construction and agricultural films. Yard Drivers work a yearly set schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off with 12 hour shifts from 5-5. The days of the week worked will rotate from week to week. Candidates must be available to work each day of the week.

Requirements

At least one year of experience driving commercial trucks or yard mules.
A current US Driver's license (CDL not required).
The ability to handle trailers quickly in tight spaces regardless of lighting conditions.
The ability to work a night shift or a day shift as assigned by management.
The aptitude and desire necessary to be a good student of Poly-America processes, equipment, and procedures.
Successfully passing a drug screen is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Relocating, docking, and transporting 48’ and 53’ trailers within our manufacturing facility.
Keeping up with a fast paced production environment while accurately recording information to ensure on-time shipment of goods.
Using propane, sit-down forklifts to help load and unload trailers.
Additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.
