About The Position
The primary responsibility of the Yard Helper is to support the Operations and Maintenance Departments by performing general maintenance duties.
Requirements
- General practices and principles of custodial work.
- General practices and principles of truck washing and maintenance.
- Federal, state and local job site health and safety rules, regulations and best practices.
- Maintain a positive attitude with coworkers.
- Proactively establish trust and credibility with coworkers by maintaining accountability.
- Contribute to the team dynamic by promoting inclusion, support and collaboration amongst coworkers.
- Take initiative, self-manage time and productivity through multitasking.
- Effectively and concisely communicate.
- Think independently and creatively to problem solve.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience preforming general labor preferred.
- Experience in the resource recovery industry a plus.
- Certifications a plus.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the yard and office are clean of debris and hazards.
- Wash and detail trucks and vehicles.
- Wash and detail collection bins and carts.
- Wire brush and paint bins.
- Participate in external, Department and Company-wide trainings to increase skill sets and improve service.
