The position involves performing essential manual and operational tasks to support the safe and efficient operation of an aggregate plant. Responsibilities include routine duties like material handling, equipment operation, maintenance, safety inspections, and teamwork to meet daily production goals, all while adhering to company and regulatory safety standards.

Requirements

Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and shovels
Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and in small teams
Willing and able to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends

Nice To Haves

Experience in the aggregate industry
Welding skills
Experience operating heavy machinery in a plant environment is preferred
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred

Responsibilities

Perform routine tasks such as shoveling gravel, dust control, yard cleanup, machinery inspections, loading / unloading, inventory storage, and general facility housekeeping
Support equipment operators as needed
Operate machinery safely and efficiently
Conduct minor maintenance and basic repairs on equipment
Use various hand tools to complete daily work requirements
Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational priorities and assist with cross-training in other roles
Help maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment through regular housekeeping and maintenance tasks
Walk the plant regularly to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and completed repairs
Complete required documentation, report operational issues to the Foreman, and identify opportunities for plant improvements
Adhere to all safety policies, including MSHA and company regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
