Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent experience; customer service experience is an asset.
Experience and knowledge in the building materials industry; estimating and construction experience is an asset.
Honest and trustworthy, are results- oriented, and strive to be the best in the work that you do.
Organized, capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
Willing to obtain forklift certification.
Ability to fulfill physical job requirements – standing, working inside and outside, lifting 25 to 50 pounds regularly.
Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
Supervise department including coordination and delegation of duties.
Train new team members on procedures, equipment use, and safety practices.
Provide guest service in the yard and on the radio; load and unload merchandise and maintain cleanliness and order of merchandise in the yard.
Fill orders, receive freight, deliver and unload product, perform inventory counts.
Build positive relationships with the yard crew, desk and leadership teams.
Perform customer carry out service and product assembly as assigned.
Complete required paperwork based on department standards.
Practice and maintain safe procedures for the handling and stocking of merchandise.
Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned in all areas of the Home Centre.
