About The Position

CKS Packaging is hiring Yard Drivers for all shifts. The role supports movement of trailers between plants and warehouses and requires compliance with traffic and facility safety rules, trailer and load checks, and equipment maintenance procedures. Drivers must maintain appropriate training records and participate in continuous improvement processes. Schedules are Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays, and the position may require weekend and holiday work if needed.

Requirements

• CDL Class A.
• Clean MVR with no personal or commercial violations or citations, and have a copy of the MVR on hand.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Clean Clearinghouse Record.
• Adequate communication skills.
• Ability to use warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, manual jacks, and forklifts.
• At least 2 years of recent commercial driving experience.
• References.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays if needed.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Pass a field driving test.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between plants and warehouses.
• Verify seals and perform required load-status yard checks.
• Perform trailer safety checks.
• Obey applicable traffic laws while operating.
• Follow facility traffic and safety rules.
• Adhere to appropriate training records and sign-off procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement processes.
• Maintain an effective Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) schedule for equipment.
