About The Position

This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must have 6-months Forklift experience
• Must Wear PPE and follow all safety policies and procedures
• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime if scheduled

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and plant GMPs
• Maintain trailer seal log
• Check and fuel refrigerated trailers
• Shuttle trailers to needed docks and/or off-site locations
• Maintain Daily Trailer Inventory Sheets
• Report any damage or needed repairs to supervisor
• Keep equipment clean and orderly at all times
• Cross train as Material Handler
• Assist with housekeeping in the yard and dock areas
• Perform any additional duties as needed to assist the department
• Maintain Powered Industrial Truck Certification
• Use problem solving skills and work well under pressure
• Communicate verbally with team members
• Operate equipment safely
• Lift up to 50lbs occasionally throughout shift
