About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Yard Driver - Non DOT to move trailers in and out of dock doors. The role drives switching equipment, tractors, and straight trucks to transport goods or equipment to and from designated locations. The driver makes sequencing decisions to maintain efficient loading and unloading, loads and unloads trailers, and verifies product counts. The position also involves maintaining a clean and safe docking area, reporting maintenance or safety issues, refueling vehicles on site, and documenting equipment locations and condition.

The schedule is Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday. Pay is $21.50 per hour plus a $3.00 shift differential, with an attendance bonus. Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock doors.
• Switch trailers and equipment to and from docks to maintain safe and efficient dock operations.
• Maintain equipment fuel levels and refuel equipment at appropriate times.
• Load and unload trucks, verify the count and condition of products, and report overages, shortages, and damage.
• Perform daily yard checks.
• Secure loads properly and ensure they comply with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records or logs as required by policies and procedures.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
• Notify supervision of current or anticipated repair needs and report safety or maintenance issues.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Document equipment locations and condition.
