About The Position
Under the direction of the Operations Manager and Area Manager, the Yard Driver moves trailers to support inbound and outbound operations in the yard according to the established daily schedule. The position supports the HSN difference in performing all job responsibilities. This is an onsite role at the QVC Group Fulfillment Center in Piney Flats, Tennessee. The schedule is 1st shift, Sunday through Wednesday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position reports to the Inbound Area Manager. Relocation assistance is not available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience operating yard tractors or similar equipment.
- Ability to safely maneuver trailers in a yard and dock environment.
Responsibilities
- Transport and position trailers for inbound and outbound operations, moving units between yard locations and dock doors according to the established daily schedule.
- Manage trailer flow and documentation, including updating trailer status in Scan-Data/TMS, recording load start and end times, and ensuring accurate manifest processing.
- Monitor loading activity and complete manual load audit procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate yard activities, including meeting drivers, dispatching trailers, scheduling moves, and completing required paperwork.
- Coordinate repairs and fueling with external vendors, maintain yard organization, and respond to priority needs as they arise.
