About The Position

This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is responsible for continuously moving trailers in and out of loading docks. Willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach are required. This position works outside in extreme hot and/or cold environments and also requires driving during inclement weather. Inspects and fills out pre-trip inspection and notifies the supervisor of any mechanical issues. Must maintain the cleanliness of assigned yard truck daily. Must make sure that every trailer that is spotted has a jack stand in place and wheels chocked. Must monitor reefer temperatures, fuel levels and the proper operation of the refrigeration units and report any issues to management team. Fuels tractor and trailers as needed.

Requirements

1 year of truck driving experience
Current driver license (cannot be suspended) and a clean MVR
Able to communicate on two-way radios with dispatchers/management and other shipping personnel
Willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach are required
Willing and able to push, pull or carry up to 70lbs
Basic math skills which include understanding weights
