About The Position

This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is responsible for continuously moving trailers in and out of loading docks. This position works outside in extreme hot and/or cold environments and also requires driving during inclement weather.

Requirements

• 1 year of truck driving experience.
• Current driver license (cannot be suspended) and a clean MVR.
• Ability to communicate on two-way radios with dispatchers/management and other shipping personnel.
• Willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach.
• Willingness and ability to push, pull or carry up to 70lbs.
• Basic math skills including understanding weights.
• Less than 7 attendance points.
• No written disciplinary actions in the last 12 months.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas.
• Continuously moving trailers in and out of loading docks.
• Inspecting and filling out pre-trip inspections.
• Notifying the supervisor of any mechanical issues.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of assigned yard truck daily.
• Ensuring trailer spotting includes jack stands and wheel chocks.
• Monitoring reefer temperatures, fuel levels, and refrigeration unit operation.
• Reporting any issues to the management team.
• Fueling tractors and trailers as needed.
