About The Position

This position is responsible for the timely delivery of feed and propane to farm facilities. Other duties may be assigned. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
  • If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
  • Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
  • Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
  • Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
  • Must be able to attend and pass the required training from MO Propane Gas Association.
  • Must use safe lifting techniques.
  • Must regularly lift reclaim auger weighing up to 50 pounds and propane hose weighing approximately 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb 20’ feed bins.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb in and out of feed and propane vehicles; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Team member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Team member is expected to identify, address and mitigate safety related risks.
  • Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains an adequate supply of feed by ordering bulk feed from the mill, inspecting feed for quality and submits feed samples, delivering correct amounts of feed to correct bins on farm as ordered (60%)
  • Maintains an adequate supply of propane by ordering bulk propane by reporting % on hand and delivering adequate propane to correct houses on farm (30%)
  • Climb feed bins, pick up unused feed with reclaim equipment, maintains inventory records, calculates usage amounts, maintains equipment by checking fluid levels and sanitizing. (10%)
