About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Associate (also described as a Porter / Yard Worker). The role is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location's property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and servicing equipment as necessary to ensure it meets specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rentals and documents lost or damaged equipment. This is a safety-focused role in a fast-paced environment, with potential to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• General mechanical aptitude.
• Safety-focused approach to work.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish or another language may be required depending on location needs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools.
• Some experience and/or training in mechanical equipment repair.
