About The Position

The Full Time - Yard Associate for Heritage Family of Companies is responsible for supporting daily yard and warehouse operations. This includes material receiving, stocking, and organization, while adhering to safety standards and providing excellent customer service. The role involves moving, stocking, and organizing products to maintain accurate and easily accessible inventory. Key tasks include safely and efficiently loading and unloading materials from customer and company vehicles, operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks while following all safety rules, and ensuring the yard and warehouse remain clean, organized, and free of hazards. The associate must comply with all safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and using proper lifting techniques. Additional duties involve checking and verifying orders, completing shipping and receiving paperwork, collaborating with team members to meet delivery deadlines, and assisting with other warehouse or yard tasks as needed. The position requires active physical work in an outdoor/warehouse environment, including the ability to lift and handle heavy materials.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds continuously throughout the workday.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential job functions.
Able to pass screening - background and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish may be required based on location‑specific business needs.
Forklift experience or certification (training and certification can be obtained after hire through company training).
Experience operating skid steer and/or front-end loader.
Prior experience in hands-on, outdoor/indoor yard/warehouse, operational work or similar environment.

Responsibilities

Move, stock, and organize products in the yard and warehouse to keep inventory accurate and easy to find.
Load and unload materials from customer and company vehicles safely and efficiently.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment while following all safety rules.
Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and using proper lifting techniques.
Check and verify orders, complete shipping and receiving paperwork, and work with team members to meet delivery deadlines.
Assist with other warehouse or yard tasks as needed.
