About The Position

Master Halco, a manufacturer and distributor of fence and deck products, is seeking a Yard Associate for its branch office. The position works both inside the warehouse and outside in the yard. Daily work is approximately 70% driving a forklift to load and unload trailers and 30% manually sorting and staging materials. The Yard Associate prepares customer orders, receives and puts away inbound materials, maintains organized yard stock, and supports safe, accurate shipments and excellent customer service.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or yard position.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials weighing up to 60 pounds on occasion.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Sit-down forklift experience is highly desired.
• Experience with building materials.

Responsibilities

• Review order documents and prepare products for accurate picking.
• Drive a forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Manually sort and stage materials in the yard.
• Accurately load trucks for outgoing shipments.
• Receive and put away inbound materials.
• Complete work orders and receiving documents accurately.
• Pull, prepare, and package orders for shipment.
• Rotate yard stock and safely move materials using a forklift.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Work with the team to support branch success and provide excellent customer service.
