About The Position

This position involves X-raying castings according to approved techniques, verifying operations, quantity, serial numbers, and heat numbers. The role requires adherence to department work instruction manuals and customer specifications. Formal training, on-the-job training, and internal testing will be necessary to fulfill the position's requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers.
• Formal training, on the job training, and taking test internally will be required to fulfill the position.
• Distance vision requirements shall equal 20/25 in at least one eye, either corrected or uncorrected.
• Near vision, Jaeger No.1 or equivalent at not less than 16 inches with one eye, either natural or corrected.
• Ability to distinguish between colors.
• Must have the availability to work nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• X-ray castings according to approved technique.
• Verify operations, quantity, serial numbers, and heat number.
• Adhere to the department's work instruction manuals and customer specifications.
• Verify router making sure the operation is correct.
• Check heat number, serial number, and quantity.
• X-ray castings for defect removal purposes.
