About The Position

Spire Orthopedic Partners is seeking a per diem X-ray Technologist to perform diagnostic X-rays and support patient care in an orthopedic practice. The role includes welcoming and escorting patients, entering imaging data into PACS, communicating with physicians, patients, and colleagues, and maintaining imaging supplies and records. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of radiology, with a two-year course.
• Valid Connecticut X-ray technician license.
• ARRT registration.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of two years of experience as an X-ray technician.
• Orthopedic experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and pleasantly.
• Escort patients to X-ray rooms and/or exam rooms.
• Enter required data for each X-ray into the PACS system in a timely manner.
• Perform diagnostic X-rays as requested.
• Communicate appropriately with physicians, patients, and colleagues.
• Maintain and order X-ray supplies.
• File and retrieve X-rays, including the OR list.
• Generate copies of films and create CDs of digital X-rays.
• Use Medic and PACS systems to locate patient files.
• Erase imaging cassettes weekly.
• Follow HIPAA rules.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
