About The Position

Perform radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to help physicians diagnose injuries and disease. Assist with administrative and clinical needs as appropriate, including patient registration and medical assisting duties. This position works directly with a franchised business location; specific job duties and benefits may vary between franchises.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• Licensed according to state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• ARRT registration or board eligibility is preferred.
• In some states, Medical Assistant certification or registry, a Practical Nursing License, or EMT or Paramedic certification is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate manner.
• Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Use ALARA radiation protection techniques.
• Process images, review them for proper identification and quality, and prepare them for physician interpretation and radiologist overreads.
• Use digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment while complying with approved radiology techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Assist providers with prescribed patient treatments in accordance with applicable standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, make minor repairs, and arrange for repairs as needed.
• Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
• Serve as a Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant when needed and within appropriate guidelines.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
